Executive Summary
Achievements
Since April 1st 2008 the Earth Champions Hong Kong Quest has held the official launch, the interview process, the evaluation interviews, the expert panel evaluation and review, the Celebration and Awards Event and Community Day.
Since then we have been assembling information from the nominated Earth Champions and preparing it for public access in the Knowledge Pond (in English and Chinese).
We have been invited to speak twice at the Royal Geographical Society, to participate at the Clinton Global Initiative and were invited to participate in a training programme held by Google International.
The Future
To take our mission out into Hong Kong’s communities we are initiating several Community Day Events. We will be employing and incorporating local staff and Earth Champions to ensure a deep reach into the Chinese community, in particular in public housing programs and Community Talks. These programs will serve as a benchmark for future Quests.
